Bombay Bicycle Club Announce Brixton Live Album

Following the hugely successful anniversary shows of their debut album I Had the Blues But I Shook Them Loose, Bombay Bicycle Club are releasing a live version of the release. The frantic and poignant lyrics from this album have nestled the band neatly into indie-rock history.

ARTWORK: BOMBAY BICYCLE CLUB

I Had the Blues But I Shook Them Loose is Bombay Bicycle Club’s first album, released in 2009. It features some of the most popular and recognisable songs by the band, including Always Like This and Magnet. The live album follows the band’s fifth studio album release, titled Everything Else Has Gone Wrong, which peaked at #4 on the UK album chart.

“This time last year – in the good old days when live music was possible – we played a handful of shows around the UK to celebrate the 10th anniversary of our debut album, ‘I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose. This tour finished on a Friday night at Brixton Academy in London, and we took the decision to record the show that evening. This was a particularly special night for us in any case, seriously a show that we’ll all remember forever, and especially what’s happened since. We are grateful we have a memory like this to keep us all going until live music can resume.

Bombay Bicycle Club’s debut album holds a special place in many people’s hearts, with fast-paced tracks like What If contrasting with the wholesome vulnerability of Cancel on Me. The whole album comes together as a whole brilliantly, and clearly is a fan favourite, as seen by sales and digital streams.

The Live at Brixton album will be available on all regular physical and digital services, with an additional double LP. The limited edition release features the original studio album, alongside the live recording from the show.
