Newcastle guitar heroes The Pale White have been quiet since their previous release Polaroid, a self declared Valentine’s gift to their fans. Their new track Take Your Time takes a step back from the band’s heavier influences, with a more pacific and classic sound.
Take Your Time is an audibly polished and seemingly effortless jump back into the scene, reflecting optimistically on the mundane realities of modern life, whilst contemplating the fact that we are all still living. The track has been released via Illegal Cinema, after the song became a fan favourite from their previous tour’s setlists.
The Pale White have developed a particularly engaging sound, through gripping guitar hooks, and bouncing bass lines. Paired with looming and prominent drumming patterns, their songs are certainly worthy of hearing live. Their previous shows have included sets at Glastonbury and Reading and Leeds, alongside sold-out hometown shows at Newcastle Riverside, Northumbria Institute, and Independent Sunderland.
‘We are still a band. We are working so hard behind the scenes to deliver something incredibly special. Stick with us, all is good, all is well. Stay safe.’ – Adam Hope, vocals and lead guitarist
Some of the band’s previous releases have been compared to artists such as Royal Blood and Queens of the Stone Age, particularly in the cases of Peace of Mind and Medicine. Clearly, The Pale White are learning from their musical influences, whilst paving the way for something massive in the future of guitar music.
