Maggie said, “I felt very helpless because my brain had frozen and I couldn’t write anything. So, I decided to write about not being able to write. As I progressed through creating the lyrics, I felt my imagination returning to me and it was one of the most cathartic experiences I’ve ever had.”

It is important for Maggie to re-centre and return to her music, which she feels lucky to be able to do, and looks to share this with her listeners. The song builds towards the middle, where, just like the poem, it soars. At the end, it rests easy, and restores any sense of struggle.
