Luke Royalty Releases New Single ‘I Do’

Having only released a couple of songs, Luke Royalty has already proven that he is on the path to a successful music career and is ready to be the next rising R&B star. His newly released single ‘I Do’ is the perfect track to follow his previous single ‘I Could Get Used to This’ feat. Sweets.

In ‘I Do’, Luke exhibits his authentic self through his lyrics, where he reveals he is not ashamed of where he is from, and has now come to terms with his Northern heritage. He is someone who is clearly proud to show it off. Taking inspiration from fellow North-East lyricists like Mike Skinner, Luke embraces his unique accent and colloquial slang.

Coming from a musical family, Luke’s interest in producing music surprisingly only started in his late teens. Before, he spent most of his time preoccupied with football, and probably didn’t expect his career in music to start anytime soon. Luckily, he decided to pursue this route and now is no stranger to BBC 1 Radio, where his debut single ‘I Could Get Used to This’ was received with overwhelming support.

Writing ‘I Do’ ironically prior to the UK lockdown, Luke opens up about his struggles of being trapped in never-ending routine.

“I’m learning how to live with the boredom”

This song comes at a perfect time, especially nearing the potential end of lockdown, where people are experiencing similar emotions to those illustrated in the song. Sure enough, listeners are able to relate their experiences of feeling hopeless and discouraged to Luke’s lyrics.

Ultimately, the effortless blending together of vocals and backing track do a seamless job of allowing you to escape reality and indulge in a moment of comfort. This relaxing track emulates a similar style to that of Mac Miller and Kevin Abstract, and is the optimal tune for winding down in the evening.
